Stayed here while our electricity was out at our home after hurricane Milton. Everyone was very accommodating & helpful. We were all going through it but they still had a job to do. Both the front desk & Valet were extremely helpful! Caring & thoughtful. Our electricity came back on & I let them know we didn’t need the last night & they didn’t charge us. They said due to the hurricane, Hilton hotels were waiving their cancellation policy. I really appreciated that. We had a great stay & also love coming to St. Pete. Thank you for being so kind!

The Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront has one of the best lobbies among the big-name hotels downtown—spacious, modern, and inviting. However, the experience was a bit mixed overall. The restaurant was just okay; there are definitely better dining options nearby at similar prices, so I’d recommend exploring the local spots. Our bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly, but the maintenance team was quick to address an issue we had, which was appreciated. The front desk was busy during check-in and check-out, but the staff were helpful once we got through. It’s worth noting that the main demographic seemed to be business travelers, but we stayed as a family and found it to be a decent option, though not overly family-oriented.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at a Hilton hotel while trying to secure a safe stay for my family during Hurricane Milton, a Category 5 storm approaching St. Pete. When I made the reservation, I was assured that pets were allowed, which is crucial for us since we have a service animal.

However, when I called the hotel to confirm their policies and inquire about their plans during the storm, I spoke with a young man named Alex. His response was not only dismissive but shocking. He laughed off the seriousness of the situation, saying, "I'd like to see the Sheriff try to make us evacuate during the storm." When I mentioned that we would be bringing our pet, he informed me, “If you bring pets, we will kick you out even if it is in the middle of the hurricane; it's our policy.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

I reminded him of Governor DeSantis's announcement that all hotels must allow pets during emergencies, but he dismissed my concerns with laughter, saying the government couldn’t force their hand. It was distressing to hear such a cavalier attitude from someone representing a major hotel chain during a crisis like a Cat 5 hurricane.

Is this how Hilton trains its staff to treat returning customers, especially in such dire circumstances? The thought of being turned away during a Category 5 hurricane, especially with a service animal, is beyond comprehension. I had always trusted Hilton for their hospitality, but this experience has left me questioning that trust. I hope they can address these serious issues before someone faces a real emergency.

This place is WELL past its prime. I think it’s fair to say the people pulling the strings at Hilton have gotten a great return on this hotel and it’s now time to reinvest. It needs some care and standard upgrades to bring it back to relevance. The staff are all friendly and helpful but I wouldn’t recommend staying here, nor do I expect any changes in the near future. You’re probably a more planned and deliberate guest than I was when I booked therefore you’ll find similar criticism in other former guest’s reviews. Most have a reply from the staff that’s halfhearted word salad that won’t indicate change. Note to my future self, GO ELSEWHERE. ?

The front desk staff, Keaton, was terrific! He was very efficient and helped with check-in during a busy Labor Day weekend…. he answered several questions and followed up throughout our stay! He went above and beyond! | The hotel is a good location, the breakfast staff was very accommodating And offered a great variety of breakfast items! | The two younger valet parking guys were very personable and helpful!!| this is not a brand new property, but is well maintained and has a great staff!! we will certainly be back!!

When checking in, Jimmy deserves 5 stars. The room was a standard room but not worth the extra money for a higher floor. Went to take a shower in the morning before checking out but it wouldn’t turn on. We were getting ready to leave anyway so I stopped at the front desk. The assistant manager was there and genuinely seemed irritated I was there as her exact words were “is it something quick you need?” I told her we were checking out but also wanted to let her know the shower wasn’t working. I received no apology, just a “you should have called us to let us know right away”. I replied it just happened right before I got dressed to leave so I’m letting you know right away. And she replied she’ll let maintenance know but she was training someone and sent me on my way. No offer to discount my room rate or a bottle of water. Nothing.

This hotel was fine for most, but I do have particular requirements because of my allergies. The hotel was in need of renovation and deep cleaning, and humidity and musty odor control. Some front desk people were good, but one was really poor. I likely won't go back unless renovated, but for people who have less requirements and travel less, this may be fine. Did like the location and reduced noise.

I’m working in St Petersburg and am staying at the Hilton with my company. I want to spend a moment to give a friendly shout-out to your hotel receptionist working at the front desk. She gave exceptional service and was very kind, polite and professional. She went above and beyond making us feel respected and cared for.

Thank You
